A Call for Yearbook Help!

In order to get stories this year, we are heavily relying on parent, student, and teacher submissions. Going into the virtual year, we want to make sure we cover everyone possible, so please help us out! Submissions can be anywhere from quarantine puppies, learning how to cook a new dish, student activists, or current events. Here’s how YOU can be featured….

In-School Instruction – Form Needed

Parents/guardians who chose in-school instruction for their child will receive a health screening commitment form where you will agree to completing a daily health screening prior to sending your student to school. Forms must be received at school electronically or by hard copy before your child returns to in-school instruction.  Students whose parent/guardian have not returned a signed form will be required to complete a health screening and have their temperature taken daily by school staff until the form is received.

Student Rights and Responsibilities

Parents and guardians, please review the Student Rights and Responsibilities and related resources. Then, fill out the SRandR Parent Acknowledgement Form.

Justice High School COVID-19 Health Questionnaire

All visitors to Justice High School must complete and submit the following COVID-19 health questionnaire prior to entering the building.

January Holidays Food Distribution

FCPS will continue to provide all students access to meals between January 18-26 when there are two school holidays and one student holiday/teacher workday. See the schedule for food distribution for Monday, January 18 through Tuesday, January 26.

Stop the Spread

Your actions keep all of us healthy, and we need to keep it up, working together to help slow the spread of COVID-19. There are some simple steps you can take to protect yourself and your family. Testing, contact tracing, and staying home and away from others when sick or after contact with someone who is sick, are critical to help prevent COVID-19 from spreading further in our community.

FCPS Hiring Classroom Monitors

FCPS is seeking individuals to serve as classroom monitors. Classroom monitors provide in-person classroom assistance for students when a staff member remains virtual. Candidates who are interested in a position or would like more information can review the job description and qualifications and apply online.

Food Services Consent to Share form

Do your children qualify for the federal Free and Reduced-Price Meals program? They may also qualify to participate in other Fairfax County Public School programs without paying a fee, or paying a reduced fee. Click here to find out more!

Parent Technology Help Desk

To support families who are working with their children during distance learning, Fairfax County Public Schools now has a Parent Technology Help Desk. The number is 1-833-921-3277 (833-921-FCPS). It will be answered by staff 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week. If the help desk is unable to solve the issue on the phone with the parent or guardian, they will enter a ticket on the parent’s behalf and the request for help will be transferred to the appropriate FCPS team.

Best of the Web Awards Honor Excellence in School Websites

Fairfax County Public Schools has recognized six school websites for excellence in web design and use of web-based tools in the 2020 Best of the Web Awards. Schools include Herndon Elementary, Lake Anne Elementary, Ravensworth Elementary, Stone Middle, Hayfield Secondary, and Falls Church Academy.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Vaccination Information for FCPS Staff

The health departments of Virginia and Fairfax County have provided guidance for vaccine distribution. Groups will get the vaccine first based on their higher risks for COVID-19. Group 1b includes school employees.
