Growth and Performance in Coursework
Outcome
● By the end of the SY 2024-2025, Multilingual learners will demonstrate a 10% growth in the reading/ writing (literacy) composite score on the WIDA test.
● By June 2025, 100% of students will demonstrate literacy growth or maintain proficiency by the end-of-year MAP Assessment. (Will update with specific growth percentages after beginning-of-year MAP assessment)
Strategies
● INSTRUCTION: Strengthen differentiation by designing and implementing effective scaffolds.
● INSTRUCTION: Explicitly model problem-solving strategies, thinking processes, and academic skills to support students in engaging with rigorous tasks.
● INSTRUCTION: Provide opportunities for students to read and apply disciplinary texts to support content learning goals.
Progression to Advanced Coursework
Outcomes
● By the end of the SY 2024-2025, 100% of students with disabilities at Justice will pass with a C- or higher in 1 or more AP/IB/DE or other 1.0 weighted courses or earn CTE finisher status by the end of high school increasing from 92% at the end of 23-24SY.
● By the end of the SY 2024-2025, 100% of students enrolled in an advanced courses at Justice will succeed in 1 or more AP/IB/DE or other 1.0 weighted courses or earn CTE finisher status by the end of high school.
Strategies
● Increase opportunities for students to engage in rigorous and open-ended tasks that require critical and creative thinking.
● Increase opportunities for student reflection, goal-setting, and feedback that supports growth around content and Portrait of a Graduate skills.
● Utilize Thinking Routines Matrix to facilitate deeper thinking and complexity.
Science
Outcomes
● By June of 2025, all students will improve from a pass rate of 36.8% to a pass rate of 70% as measured through our Science unadjusted pass rates.
Strategies
● Increase opportunities for English Language Development through use of embedded strategies during whole group instruction and intentional small group instruction focused on specific student needs.
● Increase frequency of student learning experiences that are inquiry-based and hands-on.
● Increase content and/or pedagogy knowledge in science for all teachers (advanced, general, ESOL, special education).
