End of Year SMARTR Outcome #1
In English (Reading and Writing), Math, Science, and History gaps between subgroups will be reduced by 10%.
All students will use write-to-learn strategies to deepen their content knowledge as evidenced through growth on summative assessments that include subject-specific written responses.
For 2/3rd of class time, students will be reading, writing, thinking, discussing, creating, and performing through engagement strategies that can include strong starts, student discourse, checks for understanding, and common formative assessments.
All students will demonstrate learning through meaningful and engaging technology use.
End of Year SMARTR Outcome #2
By the end of the 2017-2018 school year, Justice High School will meet or exceed the 85% Graduation and Completion Index as reported on the VDOE school report card for State Accreditation.
Identify current students at risk for dropping out this year and communicate with the students, parents, and faculty.
Identify students in each cohort who are currently not on track to graduate with their cohort; counsel and provide a comprehensive plan for students to graduate in four years.
Identify students who are listed as dropouts attached to current cohorts and communicate with the students, parents, and faculty.
Identify students who have chronic absenteeism from SY2017-18 and students currently at risk and apply attendance interventions to lower chronic absenteeism rate.
