Below is the write-up submitted by a member of the Justice High School community.
Ariel Miller has gone out of her way throughout the month of February and March, coming to school on Saturdays, so students can work through their chemical internal assessments. Due to COVID, almost everyone has no experience working on a chemistry lab report, so Ms. Miller has gone out of her way to spend 20+ hours each week for 6 weeks, 120-130 hrs., outside school to ensure students were able to finish their IAs in time. Currently, she is planning to set up Saturday school to help prepare students for their IB exams, all for free. All the time and stress she has put to ensure the success of her students without any compensation deserves recognition. Due to her work, the first students at JHS got a 7 on their chemical IA, so it's clear she brings value to the school and passion to her work.
