Welcome, Principal Rolon!
The Region 2 leadership team is pleased to announce Dr. Sean Rolon as the new principal at Justice High School, effective June 20, 2024.
Dr. Rolon currently serves as an Assistant Principal at Falls Church HS. Feedback from staff, students, and families during the search process revealed a strong desire for a collaborative and transparent leader with strong communication skills. Cultural proficiency was also a key priority, to ensure a positive and supportive environment for all students and staff. Stakeholders emphasized the importance of a leader who champions student success, with a focus on academic achievement, safety, and meeting the diverse needs of learners. This includes past experience supporting multilingual learners, students with disabilities, and those seeking academic challenge.
Dr. Rolon's 13 years of experience in a variety of FCPS school communities such as Marshall HS, McLean HS, Falls Church HS, and Glasgow MS give him a thorough understanding of FCPS and of Region 2. Among other positions, Dr. Rolon has served as a classroom teacher, Assessment Coach, and an Assistant Principal, serving in leadership roles since 2015. Dr. Rolon notes that his experience teaching as an International Baccalaureate (IB) teacher and a team teacher for students with disabilities are among his favorite years as an educator. His familiarity with both multilingual learners and advanced learners will serve the Justice HS community well.
Dr. Rolon brings a collaborative leadership style informed by data analysis and a student focus. During his prior experience as Interim Assistant Principal at Glasgow MS and Assistant Principal at Falls Church HS he built systems and protocols to ensure a safe and secure school environment. This, combined with his data expertise from his time as Assessment Coach at Marshall HS, positions him well to contribute to Justice High School's success. We are confident that Dr. Rolon's leadership will be instrumental in leading Justice HS to new levels of success.
